Where is this all going?

This is a question that’s coming up more and more in my work. It’s often simultaneously directed outward and inward.

Both deeply personal and deeply communal.

These types of deep existential questions can be accompanied by much fear. They probe at our ‘certainties’ and can bring a lot of discomfort. They’ve become taboo and are often pushed into the shadows.

I say bring them into the light. Is asking them scary? Sure. But it’s also good. Being honest with ourselves and with where we are is good. And we don’t have to do it alone. Navigating existential and identity issues with someone equipped to not only hold us, but also empower and equip us to hold ourselves is life-changing. Happy autumn.
